First and foremost, I hope that everyone of you is safe and well amid the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown measures now taken throughout New Zealand and Australia that is gripping us at present. Also for those who are adjusting to working from home with the pitter-patter of little feet running around you (like me), you are definitely not alone and I hope you are all managing to keep your sanity in check!
DTS is very much still open for business given we are an essential service provider to the general public throughout Australasia, so if our clients need anything at all during the lockdown period please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via the usual contact methods.
Like all service providers, we are currently experiencing delays with any new fibre builds in particular given site access is required by field engineers to install services to your businesses and homes, therefore progress will commence once the strict lockdown measures have been lifted.
There are a number of services we can process throughout this period whereby timeframes haven’t been negatively impacted, such as:
- Circuit upgrades/churns
- Inactive ONT activations
- New voice orders/number porting, although some AU vendors have shut down number porting until further notice
- Dispatching managed hardware/phones on request (although expect courier delays)
Having said that, if there are any unforeseen issues or delays with the above these will be communicated with you as soon as possible.
Last but certainly not least, I want to extend a massive thank you to all of our customers, channel partners, wholesalers and suppliers for all of your continued support of everything we do in what has been a particularly trying time for everyone.
The last couple of weeks have been an extremely busy time for all involved, no doubt very stressful too whilst we’ve all enacted our various BCP strategies but it’s also been a very rewarding time for us being able to assist our clients in their time of need and provide assistance to those who desperately need it.
Personally I’m also looking forward to the time we are on the other side of this lockdown where we can all go out for coffees, do lunches and share a drink or two together – who knew that human interaction with people outside of your own immediate family was something to be taken for granted!
I hope you, your staff and families all remain safe and well throughout the remainder of the lockdown, take it easy and most of all stay home!
